TASTE OF THE TEXT Rumour has it that Henry, Lord Darnley, the husband of Mary Queen of Scots, was behind the murder of Mary’s private secretary, David Rizzio. A group of Protestant rebels burst into the Catholic Queen’s private apartments at the palace one night in 1565 and stabbed Rizzio 57 times. Darnley was allegedly jealous of the friendship between his wife and the Italian.
